Activate the nearest fire alarm if you discover fire or smoke
Evacuate immediately using the nearest safe exit
Close doors behind you to contain the fire
Do not use elevators - use stairwells only
Call Campus Security at (555) 123-4567 once in a safe location
Assemble at designated area and do not re-enter until cleared
When to act: Immediately upon discovering fire, smelling smoke, or hearing the fire alarm
Call Campus Medical at (555) 987-6543 immediately
Do not move the injured person unless in immediate danger
Send someone to meet responders at building entrance
Provide first aid if trained and safe to do so
Gather information about the person's condition
Clear pathways for emergency personnel
When to act: Immediately for life-threatening conditions (unconsciousness, severe bleeding, difficulty breathing)
RUN if there is an accessible escape path - get out immediately
HIDE if evacuation is not possible - lock doors, barricade entry points
Silence phones and remain quiet - turn off lights
FIGHT as a last resort - only when your life is in imminent danger
Call 911 when safe to do so - provide location and description
Follow police instructions when they arrive
When to act: Immediately upon hearing gunshots, seeing an armed person, or receiving an alert
Monitor alerts through college notification systems
Seek shelter immediately when warning is issued
Go to lowest interior room away from windows
Use stairs only - avoid elevators
Protect your head and neck with arms or furniture
Remain sheltered until official all-clear is given
When to act: When severe weather warning is issued or when instructed by college officials
